GROWBY GAME - Match Maker

Object of the Game

This game is a good memory drill in which you try to match up the most pairs of GG-pair-cards. The pair may either be identical, or bear a relationship (GG-matches).

To Start the Game

Designate a GG-coordinator, who usually would be the teacher in a class. The GG-coordinator puts, face-down, up to 36 pairs of GG-pair-cards. He then randomly puts on top each of the GG-pair-card, a G-pattern-card as marker. Each G-pattern-card is drawn from a total of 2 matching decks.

Rule of the Game

Each G-player takes turn flipping over 2 GG-pair-cards from the display. If the 2 matches, he keeps them as earned scores. Otherwise, replace them back to the original locations.

The GG-pair-cards

This version consists of 2 identical decks of cards.

See the following games for more suggestions on the GG-pair-cards: Hide and Seek

Advanced Version

To make the memory game more challenging, shuffle the placements of the GG-pair-cards, so that the G-players cannot memorize by locations, but by G-pattern-card markers.

Extra Scores

Earn an extra point (G-blank-chip) if one of the matching pair matches your color. Earn 2 points if both match your color.
