How was the Pyramid Built

What if the sandstone blocks which make up the Pyramid were not cut from far away and then transported and hoisted to construct the structure?

I suggest they may have been constructed in place, via precisely measured moulds. Supposing the pyramid engineers had learnt (from Ancient Aliens?) a chemical process to produce these blocks, kind of like pouring concrete into a mould. And the material which made up the mould frame could somehow be absorbed seamlessly into the sandstone block, or simply disintegrate into dust over time.
